Permits, placement and who may haul in Nixa
Who may haul — the rule that matters: Nixa Code §22-348 makes it unlawful to run a business collecting, transporting or disposing of solid waste in city limits without a City permit, and §22-350 requires a $500 performance bond (the council may ask for more). The permit fee was not found. We hold ours.
Household trash is the City's contract: §22-344 says every dwelling uses the container from the City's approved contractor, and §22-345 has the City provide residential collection. The code does not mention roll-offs or dumpsters by name, so call us first on a household clear-out.
Placement: §22-345 says commercial solid waste containers stay on private property unless the City gives written permission to use public property, and the City's encroachment permit list does not include dumpsters. Keep it on the driveway, and check with the City before the street.
Demolition: we found no Nixa demolition permit page or code section. Check with the City's building permit desk before anything comes down.
